Every so often the speedometer would drop out. Then later the OD light started flashing. Found a place to pull over turned the truck off, back on and all back to normal. A few miles down the road and it started back over. Well, from what I found, the ABS sensor is the only thing that drives the speedo and the mileage counter. You might double check that the wiring isn't damaged at all. Assuming that is fine, then you might have a larger problem inside the differential itself.
